"Engenheiros do Hawaii" is a Brazilian rock band formed in 1984 in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul. The band was led by vocalist and guitarist Humberto Gessinger, who was also the main songwriter for the group.
Engenheiros do Hawaii gained popularity in the 80s and 90s with their socially conscious lyrics and melodic rock sound. They released several successful albums, including "O Papa é Pop" (1986), "A Revolta dos Dândis" (1987), and "Várias Variáveis" (1991).
The band went through various lineup changes over the years, but Humberto Gessinger was the consistent driving force behind their music. In 2007, the band announced they were going on hiatus, but they reunited for a farewell tour in 2016.
